November 18, 2019 by LauraCarlton 8 Comments

Hello friends! I’m very excited to show you my latest furniture flip, which was was more than a flip- This dresser turned into a full restoration! In this post, I will explain how to restore an antique dresser + remove peeling veneer.

Antique dresser restoration
She’s a beauty now!

Let’s start at the beginning

Per usual, I find most of my furniture makeovers on Facebook Marketplace. This one was advertised with 2 other dressers for $120. I got him down to $100 for all 3. What a deal right?!? Wellllll, to be honest we probably should have left them there, but hey, we borrowed a truck for these, I’m taking them home.

You can see the beauty, right?

That looks incredible. Thank you for this! We have been wanting to accumulate more antique pieces and will definitely reference this when it comes time to do a restoration.

You did a beautiful job! We inherited some bedroom furniture from my grandparents when our first daughter was born. I love the old style but they’re gonna need some TLC soon. Thank you for sharing your method!
