Good morning! This is fun little DIY I’ve been planning for awhile and finally got around to it. Can’t wait to show you how easy it is to make a vintage inspired Chalk Board.
Hello friends! I’m very excited to show you my latest furniture flip, which was was more than a flip- This dresser turned into a full restoration! In this post, I will explain how to restore an antique dresser + remove peeling veneer.
Let’s start at the beginning
Per usual, I find most of my furniture makeovers on Facebook Marketplace. This one was advertised with 2 other dressers for $120. I got him down to $100 for all 3. What a deal right?!? Wellllll, to be honest we probably should have left them there, but hey, we borrowed a truck for these, I’m taking them home.
Good morning! Coming at you today with a super, simple post on how to recover a stool (or chair) with an old rug! Read on to see my Boho Stool Makeover!
Originally I recovered this stool last year with a dropcloth fabric. It was a spur of the moment decision and not exactly what I wanted. Fast forward a year and a ruined rug from Walmart, PSA tassels should never go in the dryer! But was it really ruined? As you can see, the rug has a pretty pattern and great texture, so why not use it to recover an old stool!
Hello friends! I’m going to show you how to paint the interior of exterior doors. Most people just leave the insides of their doors white, but painting them a contrasting color like black, really adds a lot more interest to your space.…
Hello all! Coming at you today with my first recipe on the blog, it’s my recipe for how to make Homemade Bone Broth and you’ll be surprised at how easy it is! The reason I use Bone Broth is because I have 4 autoimmune diseases and this is very good for gut health which is very necessary for healing. Also, the collagen in Bone Broth is great for anti-aging!…
Hello and welcome! This is an older renovation, but still relevant and worth sharing. Stay tuned for our 90’s to Fixer Upper Inspired Fireplace Makeover.
Now keep in mind this is 2015 and I was still using my trusty iPhone 4s for photos. Amazing how far the phone cameras have come in a few years!
We decided to renovate this right about the time Chip and Joanna Gaines were just becoming HGTV superstars and I couldn’t get enough. I knew I wanted to use shiplap (my hubs hadn’t even heard of shiplap before Fixer Upper). Whats shiplap?! I also had chosen an intricate marble tile for the fireplace surround.…
Its Fall Y’all!
Hello friends! It’s been few weeks and I have been working hard at home catching up on projects, one of those being decorating for fall. I’d love if you’d follow along on my fall home tour.
Our Dining Nook
One of the main things you can do to keep your decor simple for fall is choose a few items and colors your loving and use those. For this space, I used buffalo check, warm amber glass. I’m loving the way the light shines through this pretty, brown glass. They were a score at an antique store a few weeks ago! I also used vintage decor I already owned as well as fun finds from Target from years past. There’s always cute stuff in the dollar spot! (unless it’s our local Tar-jay, which is generally ransacked!)
I’ve restyled our kitchen shelves using copper accents, wood pieces and vintage canisters. Copper also brings in more warm color that I love against the wood tones in our kitchen as well as the orange pumpkins on the kitchen island. Another way to bring warmth and vintage charm are antique brass candlesticks.
I got my inspiration for this centerpiece from my mom. She added a breadboard and pumpkins on her dining table and I thought, hey! I can do that using things I already have. I talked about that on my instagram page as well.…
Hey all! I’m super excited to show you my latest furniture flip, this Mid Century Modern Dresser Makeover! I was recently contacted by a local friend, Nicci, A Farmhouse Full. Nicci was in the process of redoing her master bedroom and I helped her with making a few design choices as well as redoing this dresser. I’ve only done a few mcm makeovers, so I was pretty excited to do another one. The classic lines, awesome legs, and pretty wood gets me every time!
Mcm Dresser Before Photo
This dresser originally manufactured by Baumritter, the company that went on to become Ethan Allen. This one is part of the Birchcraft series. Solid as a rock and solid Birch wood.…
Hello! I’m going to a share with you how to repot your Fiddle Leaf Fig tree from its original planter to a new decorative one.
My first post! I think I’ve kinda figured this out… ish. So here we go, this is my large Fiddle Leaf that I purchased as just a little guy around 2 years ago from Walmart. I can’t believe how much it’s grown in just over 2 years!…
